About Me

05IMG_9074

I’m a wedding photojournalist living it up in the Garden Spot of New York City, beautiful Greenpoint, Brooklyn. While on a family vacation to France in high school I fell in love with the work of the master of the “decisive moment” Henri Cartier-Bresson. Ever since then I’ve been chasing after decisive moments of my own. I followed my passion to the renowned School of Visual Communication at Ohio University where I earned a degree in photojournalism. After dabbling in newspaper photography I discovered that my pursuit of the decisive moment was a natural fit with wedding photography.

I bring the same creativity, energy and visual sensibility to the documentation of your wedding day that I bring to my personal projects. From beginning to end I take a very hands off approach to capture natural moments throughout the day. I believe that the best moments can’t be staged and it takes the combination of a sharp eye and lots of patience to catch them. I use my skills as a visual storyteller to build a narrative of the wedding day from the anticipation while getting ready to the excitement of the ceremony to the celebration afterward. My approach is very quiet and discrete to tell your story without being a part of the story.

When I’m not behind the camera I enjoy riding my bike around the city, scouring thrift stores for vintage treasures and exploring hole in the wall ethnic restaurants throughout the five boroughs.
