Florida Market

Before I made this photo the guy who owned the truck came out and asked me if I had a permit for photography. “What permit?” I asked. “I’m on a public street. I don’t need a permit.”
He insisted that it was his truck and that I needed a permit to take pictures. He told me to stay put while he called someone. After a few minutes he didn’t come back so I wandered off myself. I wonder what he has to hide. I couldn’t help myself during the brief showing of golden light.

    i dont know specifically where these photos were made but ive run into the same attitude when photographing outside of major metropolitan areas…its almost like people automatically associate the presence of a camera with the invasion of privacy, even when your motives couldnt be more benign…number 2 is beautiful by the way…
