Real moments for real people is my motto.
As a wedding photojournalist I believe that the best moments can’t be faked. My job as a wedding photographer is to blend into the scenery and capture all the emotions that tell the story of your wedding day. This approach makes for the best photos and it makes me one less thing you have to worry about the day. I take care of the creativity and leave you to do your thing. After all it is your day.
Naturally I also do family portraits but I don’t like to keep you from your celebration for too long. In order to make things move smoothly I prefer to work off a list for the portraits. The rest of the wedding I use my eye and visual sensibility to find whatever is going to make the best photos.
I shoot entirely in digital format with Canon 5D cameras and fixed focal length lenses. These lenses have wider apertures allowing me to shoot in lower light and have narrower depth of field for an attractive selective focus look. Most of the time I only shoot with available light but I pull out a flash during the reception when guests start hitting the dance floor.
On a typical wedding day I will shoot 2,000 to 4,000 RAW format digital files which I narrow down to 600 to 1,000 for the finished package. Within three days of the wedding I like to put up an online gallery with the best 50-60 photos and within two weeks I sit down at the computer to edit and color correct the photos and have the edited DVD dropped off at the post office.
If you have any special requests I’m always happy to work with you to make it happen. Please feel free to call or email me any time. Thanks for looking.
